The top upper right are the primitives you can create in topmod Then the top center allows you to choose faces (its a dropdown menu too)
the bottom row is the transformations you can make. Its pretty straightforward

awesome, thanx for the links. i thought i had a copy of it but i believe i deleted that file out of frustration so i re-downloaded the latest version. what bothered me was the video tuts DO NOT HELP--no voice guiding you through the steps, just a arrow and the window. the one link with the text on how to do things is much helpful but still give me questions as to how to extrude and bevel and other options, like selecting the sides i want to manipulate. hopefully i'll work at it and make something out of nothing because i haven't made anything worth rendering or saving.
