Schwarzschild's Paradox

Description

concocted in Bryce 7.0 beta

While reading "Worm Holes, Blackholes and Time Machines" by Jim Al Khalili, I came upon the Einstein-Rosen bridge or Schwarzschild's wormholes, after reading about Lorentzian transformations.

Found myself awake at O-dark 30, for some random reason, and this was one of the results.

Next comes the time-travel paradox- the subject of the matter.

Lets say you go backwards in time to meet yourself, and decide to stay there. The stuff that sci-fi movies thrive upon.

It becomes like groundhog day, (in a way), perhaps multiple you's keep coming back to the past at the same moment, (because you grow up to travel back in time, yet you are already there as your original, so would these be in parallel universes to house all these additional visitors, arriving simultaneously?) I think we know now why Walter went mad in Fringe... :lmao:

I'm not even going to use the traditional example- you go back to kill your grandfather before he gets married. If successful, you would never be born, so how could you kill your granddad? The minute the bullet struck your dad, your dad would not be born, so neither would you.... so shooting your grandfather would immediately be impossible.

No wonder I can't sleep this week. Such paradoxes :D Naw, its really watching the stock market.

Anyway- the reflections of a boolean object (a sphere with a cylinder subtracted from the center) show some interesting reflections depending upon where spheres are placed inside the hollow .... hence the wormhole and time machine reference- and the multiple emergencess.... the repeating hole patterns in the spheres inside the tunnel!

to be continued my friends...... look for part 2. [link]
